So one of the sites that links to that Helsinki Complaints Choir video on youtube is, of course, [livejournal.com profile] finland, and now I know how to say "It's not fair!" in Finnish: "On se niin väärin!!" Which, judging from the video, is pronounced relatively easily: Ohn seh neen vah-rihn. I think they have one of those "flip" R sounds with a D in it, like Japanese does. Or like "Gloria" does when you sing it.

So now I can get that song stuck in my head even more. >_<

And I don't know how to do the dots over the As. I totally keep cutting and pasting it.

I think it's time to change my username and the title of my journal. I've been meaning to do that for ages.

...and done! Woohoo.

Half of my friends list would wear this scarf:

However, it's a lot of knitting (it's a tube), so NO.

Well, hmmm...maybe if I made it only four characters on each side instead of eight...

*lmao*

My search for work has become very frustrating. I was hoping to get a receptionist position in a medical office, but the fact is, I'm unqualified for most of them. Either that, or they have a long list of job requirements that include things like "very, very organized" and I know I just wouldn't be any good at it. I'm starting to think that my medrecs position was a lucky fluke.

So I'm putting it to you guys: what kind of positions do you think I should be applying for? I have two years' experience in medical records (I haven't even seen any open positions for this anywhere), and if you go back three years, I have five years' cashiering experience. I can type fast, but not ten-key (all the data entry jobs I see are ten-key). Other than that, I'm fubared.

What I find funny is that everyone is looking for CNAs, and none of the local schools are offering the CNA program. WTF?

EDIT: Mt. Hood Community College has a CNA program, open to twenty people a term. The classes are at night for five weeks while you do the book stuff and then during the day for five weeks while you get clinical experience.

I keep thinking it would be a good idea to get a CNA and do that for a while, because ten weeks at a community college is cheaper than going through nursing school if I find out I hate it.
