I just had the weirdest convo with my dad. I saw a cat named Schrodinger and groaned and said that was a terrible name for a cat.
My dad was surprised that I knew what Schrodinger's Cat was, and asked where I'd heard about it. (BTW, the answer to that is, the historical/sci-fi novel The Summer of Love by Lisa Mason. It has time travellers.)
I also pointed out that my most recent ex was, um, a physics major. I do randomly pick things up here and there, y'know.
I have to admit I was kinda insulted that it would be this huge shock that I would know something like that. *rolls eyes* My dad normally treats me as a smart person.
Theres also a Scifi novellete called "Schrodinger's Cat." Somewhere in some Anthology. By one of the famous...guys. (Aquarius=bad with names and facts...)
There are a lot of people out there that wouldn't recognize the reference. I had to explain it to Becca the other day, for example. The only reason I know is that I read a ton of Sci-fi.
There's a book. It's called Bad Cat. I bought a couple of them and have already given them away for presents. I have to not buy anymore, or everyone I know with cats would get one. That's a lot of books. So I post the URL instead.
well, that's kind of what we talked about when we made the icon. If you want both booties in the shot, I had to crop from the y in booty to your left hip. Cut that down to 100 pixels, and that's the size of the bag. Not much can be done about it, uless you remove *your* booty, which is really what the icon is all about, so that would be pointless.
In the end, if someone doesn't recognize the veggie booty bag, they probably wouldn't get the joke anyway, so it was a go.
Personally, I think you're just not bending over far enough. shrug

Date: 2006-01-02 07:04 am (UTC)It's not a terribly flattering picture of my ass, but it was just too silly to pass up. I don't think I'll keep it as my default for too long. *lol*
