Aug. 5th, 2007 12:22 amOkay, optical mice are wicked cool. I'm using the mouse on my crocheted blanket on my bed.
Woo, two PBRs. How very Portland of me.
A guy from CEP (Community Engagement Program, a thingie from work) gave me a CD of music by various non-Bjork musicians from Iceland. So, Sigur Ros and Mum and ....Aniima? He titled the CD "Icelandiscapes." That's what I get for wearing my A.T. Mahan Puffins tshirt to work (it's a tshirt from my elementary school in Keflavik, it still kinda fits).
So far it's really nice and dreamy. Perfect. I haven't been able to listen to it until now because I don't have a CD player! Just my defunct laptop and my iPod. Oops.
The "guy from CEP" is named George. I sorta asked him out and he sorta said yes. I guess I'll know depending on whether he comes to my house for that pre-Stardust thing on Friday. Hahahaha I mentioned Stardust and told him it was based on a novel by Neil Gaiman and he was all like, "OMGWTF Neil Gaiman?!" but it turns out he's a huge Sandman fan, which is the only thing of Neil's he's read, and it's like the only thing of Neil's I haven't yet read.
Yeah, George is a bit geeky (he's worn tshirts based on Star Wars jokes to work). And has a lot of tattoos. And is, uh, 39, I've found out. Oh well. :^)
And yes, every time I think of his first name minus his last name, I think of
jenhowell saying "GEORRRGE!" to
common_as_stone's cat. *LOL*
I'm on something called MetroFi. It's apparently that free WiFi thing the city helped set up, because I have an ad at the top of the page. Hey, at least I'm connnected, yeah? Usually we're on a network stolen from neighbors who leave their networks unsecured, bwah ha ha.
