Aug. 6th, 2007 10:30 pmSo according to the catalog description, CH104 requires having passed MTH95 (yup) and concurrent enrollment in the lab (duh).
According to the class schedule, it also requires concurrent enrollment in MTH111.
AAAAUGH WTF??
The 200-level chem series is the one that has a prereq of MTH111. So I'm mega confused. I'm going to call the advising office tomorrow or something, I don't know. I'm all freaked out now, because I really don't want to take MTH 111 (especially not my first term back at school). I still blame it for causing my financial aid to get dropped back in '03/'04. And today I finally told my supervisor that I'm going to be missing work for class starting this fall. To her credit, she didn't try to talk me out of it or ask if there wasn't another time I could try, she just took a deep breath and nodded. Within a month and a half I'll be the most senior person in medrecs (everyone else has left/got fired/is leaving), so having me gone a big chunk most days of the week isn't going to be fun for her.
I guess the worst case scenario is I take something else first, like psych or something. But I don't *need* psych. What I need is chem, bio, anatomy and physiology, a nutrition class and the "human development" class. All my other prereqs (humanities, MTH95, writing 122) I already did at PCC! Although I'm sorely tempted to take them again just so as not to give OHSU any reason to see my PCC transcript at all, seeing as so much of it is just...not impressive.
In other news, really cleaned the rat cage today. The room smells better and they seem happier.
And I rented Mad Hot Ballroom finally. I've been wanting to see it since it came out, so today I stopped at Videorama in Ladd's Addition. It was a totally awesome documentary movie about the program in NYC where fourth and fifth graders learn various kinds of ballroom dance for a citywide competition. The kids dancing at the finals just made me laugh and grin like crazy--here are these hardcore urban 10-yr-olds doing, say, the merengue. Or Argentinian Tango. Whoa. Hahaha, a lot of the girls were taller than the boys.
