Hee hee hee. Saw the ad in The Mercury. (An ad for Convergence too, aaaah!)
2. I've confirmed my appointment for being a lab rat, it's May 8th. Woo! I talk to a therapist for two hours and then do "visual tracking" in front of a computer for two hours. Oddly, though, they don't care whether or not I've taken my meds.
3. Yesterday marked a year since Jarrod and I started dating. Originally we planned to go to Vita Cafe on Alberta. We got there and realized two things--first, the kitchen fire had closed down the whole place until mid-May, and second, it was "last Thursday." I was willing to walk up and down Alberta, but not without some food, and there's not a lot of vegan options on Alberta (please correct me if I'm wrong). Street fairs aren't really Jarrod's thing though.
We went to Hoda's and they don't take plastic. Thankfully Paradox is on the same block. *lol* Which did make sense in the end, as our first date (months before we officially became an "item") was at Paradox, and our six-month anniversary was there. And now I'm craving vegan sausage.
OMG. It doesn't feel like it's been a year. o_O Time flies.
4. Whee for re-labeling songs in iTunes, although I'm getting the hang of it.
alicia_stardust, do you have a track listing for that "2007 Gothic Dance Mix" CD? That way, if I really like something, I'll know who to look for (other than, uh, you).
5. You can't make gmail not thread your emails. I poked around in settings. *cranky* WTF is wrong with wanting my newest emails to automatically be on the top? I've started starring things, but does it even let me know when there's a new message in the "conversation"? It doesn't seem to. Grrr.
6. Holy hell, tonight I have to poke through the boxes in the garage until I figure out where my purple gown is (ARGH, the chemise I want is at my parents' house, but I have another one). And make some food for tomorrow. And then tomorrow I have to wake up early and take the bus all the way to Forest Grove for that SCA event, in garb (which gets less odd looks than you'd think, speaking from previous experience). I told the autocrat I was willing to do gate but after the initial emails I never heard what shift she wanted me to do. Gah. And I stopped going to dance rehearsals after I went to the first one and realized I already know the basic steps to most of the dances, especially since she'll be calling them anyway. Even the "fake-out" dance, which isn't really called that, but I can never remember WTF the real name is.
Saracen and Trenchmoore, I hope we do those, I loves them. And a Maypole, and getting to see Alec, aka The Heir to Heather Alexander. Oh, and a local SCA harpist that told me he's giving lessons now. And I'm bringing my hand-spinning because I said I might sit at the demonstration area for it. Even though my garb is post-spinning-wheel.
But after this, I'm going to attempt to stick to events on this side of town, aka Barony of the Three Mountains, because going out to Beaverton after work sucks. Not to mention getting to Forest Grove on a Saturday morning--I'll have to take a bus downtown, catch the max and ride it all the way to the end of the line, and then catch a bus, which thankfully stops right in front of Pacific University.
7. I need to find Jarrod's Skinny Puppy CD and reacquaint myself, since they're playing a full show at Convergence.
