FINALLY finished filling out my application for the cashier/storekeeper job at the Alberta Co-op.
Things that lead me to think I might get it: The head of the board of directors is a friend of mine. Who I've worked with at Shift events. Who told me to put him down as a reference, and has told me more than once that he'd put in a good word for me if I applied there.
Things that lead me to think I might not get it: My most recent experience (outside of the census) is all medical records. Also, the list of questions on the back lead me to believe that I am likely to be passed over in favor of someone with a liberal-arts degree who speaks Spanish or something. Bleh.
Turning it in anyway. And then going to a party...at the house of the guy who's the aforementioned head of directors at the co-op.
It doesn't pay as well as working at New Seasons, and I'd probably get less hours. But I'd still rather work at the co-op.
