WOOHOO
Just talked to a lady at the unemployment office--I qualify for the extension. I have to exhaust my claim next week, so I'll only get the $124 that's left--and I have to make a phone call to the unemployment office again that week to officially apply, but after that I'll get a twenty week extension of my current benefits.
Excuse me while I do a happy dance.
*happy dance*
Holy shit, am I relieved. I should have called them weeks ago when I first realized how little money was left on my claim.
In other news, just called Sweetpea and ordered a vegan pumpkin pie for me to pick up on Thursday morning. Their pies are so damn good.
I need to make a list of things to buy for dinner. I want to bring stuffing, gravy, pie, whipped "cream" in a can, and green bean mushroom casserole. Because those are the things I like to eat. Also probably some vegenaise so I can eat the waldorf salad, and some margarine to put on the veggies/mashed potatoes. I'm not buying a tofurky this year. I won't really have time to make it and I don't like'em that much anyway!
How to carry pie on a bike? That's a good question. I'll think of something. Maybe I'll remove a couple of slices and just take those, since I'll be the only one likely to eat the vegan pie.
My current goals:
Get to sleep tonight at a reasonable hour (i.e. before two am)
Wake up at a reasonable hour (i.e. before noon)

Date: 2009-11-25 01:28 am (UTC)Plus at my parents' house, one of our "traditions" is to try and get whipped cream (the kind that comes in an aerosol can) piled as high as possible before it falls over. There is vegan whipped cream in a can, and you have to have an actual slice to really participate fairly.
