SO, as you may have noticed me saying before, I'm catching up on the show Big Love. I'm on episode twelve, and Nicky asked Margene where she'd be if she wasn't with their family.

M: Portland.
N: Oregon?
M: Yeah. A friend of mine opened a bakery there, she said it's nice. People ride bikes everywhere, there's lots of water.

So, there's Portland in a nutshell for you: People ride bikes everywhere, and there's lots of water.

also it's not too hilly and cheap to live there and the food and beer are really good.

Heh. I have to remind myself that other people think Portland is cheap.

I think I've heard that we're the least expensive city of our size on the West Coast. I'm not sure if that's actually true or not.
