I...I think I may get unemployment. I'm not sure. I'm trying not to be too optimistic.
I got a thing in the mail from the employment department with my wages and hours from the last year at my old job, and at the top it says "wage and potential benefit report" and then in one section it says "weekly benefit."
Would they send me that if I'd been denied? I mean, I know not to expect a check yet, but am I going to get one?
I have friends who've both received unemployment and who had to fight for it--did you get a letter like this? How would I know if I'd been denied?
On the upside: If I do get benefits, I'd be getting $312 a week. I took home $1450 or so per month when I was working, so that's not bad at all. Holy moly.
In other news: I made ginger raisin muffins from Vegan With a Vengeance and they are yummy. I can take some on the bike ride to St. John's I'm doing tomorrow. Twenty-two miles! Whee!
