The Fez last night: Was it couples night or something? WTF?
It was definitely thigh-high/over-the-knee socks night though. Sheesh.
I've been noticing women around Portland wearing a short-ish skirt with opaque tights and over-the-knee socks. I've decided I want to copy the look. Because I am a sheep. And because it manages to be both covering and warm and totally sexy.
Today a few of us went to a new food cart on SE 33rd-ish and Hawthorne called Veggielicious. It was sooo yummy, even without the tofu. Maybe it'll become a weekend tradition to go or something.
jenhowell is posting at the same time as me. Wooo!
We also went to the Friends of the Library book sale for a bit. I could've been lost in there all damn day. I bought three books for less than five bucks. I got an English translation of Christine de Pisan's book of advice to princesses that she wrote in the 1300's. The chapters have titles that are amusing as hell. If I ever get involved in the SCA again, I'd love to have a 14th-century French persona. Some of the French women then even played the harp! And their clothes are so awesome. Woo. Loooong fitted dresses, those sleeves that sometimes were long enough to hit the ground, wide necklines, and occasionally those big voluminous headdresses.
Anyway. Having fun just hanging around the house with
jenhowell and Jarrod and
underthethrow.
