My dress is done and boy is it ever fantastic.
I went to my parents' house, talked to my dad while we smoked his fancy expensive cloves, and got some more clothes (dang, I need to wash that skirt...)
Katrina and I went to her parents' house, and her family's bird does like me. Talking to it the way I talk to my rats seemed to help, *lol* Also,
vashtiabhakulil has gorgeous glasses and her hair is very shiny and a great color.
Convergence's website is down right now due to going over their bandwidth. That's both funny and frustrating. >_<
Jarrod seems sad that he has hardly seen me for days and probably won't, really. It's kinda sad for me, too. After this weekend, I gotta spend some time with him. And my poor neglected rats.
I've seen a bunch of clips of The Indigo (Rachel Brice's company) and whenever someone posts comments to their youtube vids like, "I don't like this stuff, this is horrible, blah blah blah" my first instinct is to think, "Yeah, because god forbid they do anything DIFFERENT." The fact is, they have flawless technique, and they are, flat out, the most creative bellydance troupe in existence. Tribal can become so disgustingly boring (the same moves and the same music and the same costumes over and over), and they've finally injected new life into it. Which is why they have so many fawning worshipful wannabe fans (like, uh, me). You're just jealous, deal with it.
Speaking of which, you can see their entire TribalFest performance in the youtube videos of someone named iamsmall. She's even got the different sections labeled. Some of it is really funny, and the rest is just amazing. Wheee!
Okay. I really have to run. Work is going to go soooo slooooow today, I just know it. AAAARGH.

Date: 2007-05-25 07:12 pm (UTC)The main danger with cloves, other than that they're 60% or tobacco, is that clove oil is an anesthetic, and therefore people aren't as likely to feel the damage they're doing.
