Grommets aren't that bad! I did them on my wedding dress having never done them before. You've just got to get one of these little kits from Jo-Ann. There are a lot of fancier grommet setters, but I don't see why you'd need them; those little kits come with the grommets and the little metal part you use to hammer them in. The only other thing you need is a nice hard floor.

You should totally go that route, though. Hammering grommets is really fun.
