Alright, so here's the official party invitation for the 2nd Annual Clothing/Stuff Swap and Holiday Card-Making Party.
It will be at my house: 2236 SE Brooklyn Street, from noon-whenever (probably around 8).
I will provide some snacks, but I probably am not going to make myself nuts and make bigger food, although I might change my mind. Instead, if you could bring something (vegan if you're going to share) to eat that would be great. We also live right near People's and the Red and Black if you get hungry for "real" food and as Zoe can tell you, I never mind people using our stove to make food!
As to the party, I hope that swappers of Clothes and other things (anything you think someone else might want - books, postcards, mugs, whatever!) will get here on the early side, and then as the swapping winds down we can break out the card-making supplies. As to that, I have ridiculous amounts of clippings and magazines to cut up, a decent amount of glue and some extra scissors. I also have glitter and other random stuff. I would suggest bringing paper you might want to use, unless you're not picky as to the the color of your cards. I would also suggest bringing a pair of scissors if you want guaranteed use of a pair and rubber cement if you don't want Elmer's wrinkles on your end products.
In addition to these already awesome festivities, it is quite probable that games of Apples to Apples will break out. I may also play some Christmas-y movies or music, but this year I promise not to play "Pee-Wee's Christmas Special".
That's pretty much it. If you are coming, please RSVP by emailing me at jenhowell77@gmail.com. You can also show up day-of, but if I know you are coming, we can plan better for snacks, and April made some rumblings about possibly making cupcakes [I likes me some cupcakes], so you'll want to be counted in for that! Also, if you want to bring a friend(s) just let me know that too. We like to pack the house to the gills for this one! (:
My note: I also want to make a few paper Christmas tree ornaments. That's a ton of fun, too! Stop by even if you're going to the Sagittarian party later (I am, just not until the party here is winding down).
