I've just read, via
ruby_wings, that Costco has those little liqueur chocolate thingies. Y'know, the little bottle-shaped chocolates with booze inside?
Believe it or not, if you read the ingredients, they're vegan, last I checked.
Damn, I gotta get me to Costco. I love those things.

Best knitting website ever. She's got quicktime videos of everything imaginable, does everything in both continental and english style (if/when there's a difference), and goes nice and slow and explains everything. Totally awesome.
Hee. I'm enjoying my current project so much, I have to bribe myself with it. "Do the dishes, do two rows. Fill out one application, do a row..."

Tell me casting on is the hard part. Crochet is a lot easier.

Since you learned crochet first, try to learn the continental style of knitting. You're already used to holding the yarn in your left hand, yes?
That, and while it can be harder to learn (although it might not be, for you) continental will be way faster when you get the hang of it. I learned "english" style, and even though I can do continental, it feels totally awkward to me, so I don't do it!
