My period ended a week ago, but I started bleeding again yesterday. I called gynecology at work, and the MA thought maybe it was just because I was stressed out, but after talking to my nurse practitioner, I have an appointment tomorrow. She wants to rule out a cyst of some kind. Grrr.

Those things I used to get in my mouth that I posted about yesterday were cysts. I've gotten them on the edge of my labia before, but I've never had to have one removed. So the NP thinks I might have one further inside, I guess.

Dammit!

I just hope I don't have to have my IUD yanked for any reason. I like that thing.

Chances are you're fine. Random spotting happens to a lot of people from time to time from what I understand. If they took the IUD out at all (which they prolly wouldn't) it most likely wouldn't be a permanent arrangement. They are telling me I need to get an IUD after my 6 weeks of recovery because it is just simply safer for the baby for me not to be a taking a pill if I am going to nurse. And since you had such nice things to say about the IUD, I was going to say yes to it lol.

You should! It is the best. And it probably won't even hurt you since you'll already be..um...sore down there.

And to April: w/the IUD, especially during the first year, your body is still adjusting itself. Planned Parenthood pretty much told me not to freak out about any weird period stuff for the first year, *especially* spotting.

*nod* I think she just wants to rule out anything funky. She also knows I've had harmless external cysts in the past, so that might be why she would be suspicious.

An ultrasounds sounds really drastic, though!! I hope everything goes ok.

(And hey, we're both up!)

IUDs rock. And I had the bleeding mid-cycle thing once before, before I got the IUD, so that's not it.

It doesn't look like they want to take it out, so that's happy. ;^)
