Everything is approximate.

2/3 c. Vegenaise (tastes so much like mayo, my dad'll eat it)
1 tsp. or less garlic powder
1 tsp. or less onion powder
1 tsp. or more dried parsley
salt
pepper
soymilk

Mix the first four ingredients. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add soymilk until you get the consistency you wanted--less for a dipping sauce, more for salad dressing.

Put on your salad. Or dip chips into it. Or fresh veggies.

Contact stuff is expensive, even at Costco. Oy! What's annoying is that whether something is for hard or soft lenses, is in smallish print near the bottom. I got some eyedrops too. Now I won't be annoying the ophthamology department so often for samples of stuff. And I won't have tiny bottles of various things littering every surface in the bathroom, my bedroom, and my purse.

On the other hand, a big thing of organic salad greens is way cheap. Go me. The only time I really wish I had a car is when I shop at Costco...they have all sorts of things I actually eat normally, for cheap; and there's no way I'm going to try to haul it all home. Also, where the hell would I put it?

The price of adderall seems to randomly go up and down, so annoying. For a while it was around $40, then it was less than $20, and today it was $23. WTF? I have this mental image of people doing futures trading on amphetamines.

They had a 40G iPod for just less than $300. Excuse me while I try not to drool. They didn't have the older 20G ones, which is too bad; I'll bet their price is going down. There was a 40G mp3 player of another brand for less than $200, it's something to think about. Assuming my dad and I can't figure out how to fix my mp3 player. I didn't even bring it with me today, I just brought my old discman. Grr.

Random thought o' the day: Most liquid cleansers, shampoos, etc...they have various parts of saponified coconut oil: sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, that stuff. Tons of Lush stuff has SLS in it. It's all made from coconuts. Which means that somewhere, there's huge farms of coconuts. Where are they!?! Have you ever heard of the idea? They have to exist out there.

Hm. Must make soup or something. And then clean the bathroom.

There's a spot on Kauai just north of Kapaa called Coconut Plantation. It's beautiful - rows upon rows of palm trees, just like corn, except towering overhead creating a canopy of palms. It's truly a sight to behold. Walking underneath there feels majestic.

So yeah, there exists coconut farms, and they are warm and tropical.

sigh

I'd be wary of walking around a coconut farm. I'd be waiting for one to fall on my poor head.

that's a definite risk. There's little signs saying "watch for falling coconuts." But it's also a risk at the beach, walking down the road... truth is it's just not that common. People aren't getting clocked on the head left and right, which makes it okay to wander and let your mind take it all in without too much worry getting in the way.

Oh, man those salad greens!! When I was living in Indiana, we would go to Costco every week, and I would get one of those huge tubs and eat salads like three times a day. Unfortunately, that was basically *all* I was eating, but still.
