I cannot get that goddamn sleepover meme to work. It keeps screwing up somehow, and it's not me. Grrr! It was funny! [livejournal.com profile] jameslentz got drawn on again!

Why am I so damn tired!?! How do the rest of you manage to work all day and then come home and do shit? I get home, do one load of dishes and one of laundry and now I feel like I've been run over. I really should cook something, I really should clean my room a little. But I know I still need to do another load of dishes and put the sheets back on the bed and take a short shower, so I'm saving my energy.

And now: time to put another assload of music on my mp3 player. The list is:

Harry and the Potters
Fiona Apple's Tidal (and then I will have all of them on there, bwah ha ha)
Justin Timberlake (but probably only that one song I actually listen to)
Radiohead's The Bends (anyone got OK Computer? I can't find mine, grrr)
U2's War
TMBG, A User's Guide to They Might Be Giants

Speaking of which, Radiohead is starting a UK tour in May and will tour the United States sometime during the summer. They don't have a release date for their next album, though.

*does the happy dance*

OMG. When I heard that at work (I happened to catch it on the radio while doing filebacks) I think I actually shrieked and jumped up and down. Who's going with me? Eh? EH? I don't care what else I have to miss to go--I'd skip OCF to see Radiohead. I'll take a day off of work. If I have to take a godforsaken Greyhound bus to Seattle and stay overnight at the Green Tortoise, by Gods I'll do it.

Although I'd prefer just to, y'know, hang a ride with one of you people.

I finally bought Veggie Booty today since you seem to highly recommend it.

Spinach, broccoli and kale cheetos, huh?

hrm.

Hmmm, well let's see.

I have to do everything that you do, plus take care of Breanna, make sure she gets her homework done, take out the garbage, feed the animals, clean the whole house, vacuumn the whole house, mow the yard, weedeat the yard, etc etc etc

I just do everything around here except for unload the dishes and clean Breanna's room.

I just do it. I get up, I do what I need to, I go to bed later than I want to. I drive to work on autopilot 1/2 asleep.
I get cranky with Breanna when I really shouldn't.
I really want a nap most days. I don't get them even on the weekend.

Its just something you do. You get up and you do it because it has to get done, and if you don't do it, there is no one else to pick up the slack.

I do not think I am physically capable of doing that. Were I in your spot, the dog would find another home, I'd be back in an apartment instead of a house, the place would be a goddamn disaster, and I'd still be tired all the time.

I mean, seriously, the only reason I got that much done today is because I managed to remember to take my adderall when I got home, and I'm pretty caught up on sleep.

1. I have OK computer and will burn you a copy.

2. I want Harry and the Potters, and I want it yesterday.

3. I will go with you to see radiohead anywhere anytime. Especially you know... if it's kinda within driving distance.

4. I will NOT be in the hospital this year for OCF, gorramit.

1. Yay!

2. Now that I've got it on the mp3 thingie, I can lend you the CD.

3. Last time it was at Auburn. Which isn't too far distance-wise, but goddamn it! Once you get off I5 it's one lane in each direction the rest of the way there. It took over an hour for us to even get out of the parking lot. My post about that is over here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/aprilstarchild/2003/09/01/).

4. If Radiohead and OCF are not the same weekend, I want to try to arrange an EG+friends trip. Camping at the same campground, that kinda thing. Carefree Farms is my fave: relatively quiet (especially compared to the Darling Family Reunion, holy SHIT), kid-friendly, laid-back. Also, literally across the street from the footpath to the Fair. Also, has showers (I think it's a few bucks for about five minutes, but hey! It gets the dust off).

I will not miss OCF this year. If the same thing happens and I'm recovering from surgury, I'm going in my hospital gown and flashing everyone my ass and selling the morphine for a profit. I don't care if i bleed on people.

I can't even begin to describe how disappointed I was at missing OCF this year. Yes, the morphine made it so I didn't care so much, but everytime I think back on it, I'm crushed.

And if we go to Radiohead, we should definitely go prepared.

What hours do you wake? My thing is, the hours of 5pm-8pm bore me, so I try to do something, go to the gym, take a walk, do some grocery shopping, make dinner..I just get restless at home relaxing, it's sick/sad.

8-5.

It sucks, because I'm at my best in a lot of ways between 7 and 11pm. But I'm tired then on weeknights because I got up early and/or have to get to bed early-ish.

eek that does stink..do you stick to a typical 'bed' time? I'm fortunate, cursed, that my normal sleep schedule sort of coincides with my work.

I try, and fail, to stick to a routine bedtime. It's partially an ADD thing. It's partially my internet addiction. It's partially caused by my circadian clock refusing to line up with what I need for work.

Also, I sometimes just cannot make it to bed at the same hour. Nights I have chorus rehearsal, I usually get home around 10:30.

My normal circadian rythym is going to bed around one am and waking up around nine.

My work schedule requires me to get up at six am. I get home around six pm.

I went to Loprinzi's for a while, but now I have a free work out room with a bunch of things in my office building, wonderfully around the corner from my office. Now I just have to find my keycard so I can go again..it's been over a month, which is really sad.

Jen and I went to ocf for a day this last summer. I am glade I went and it was my first year. It did seem a bit focused on buying things but that feeling would probably go away if I had more time to just chill.

Radiohead came to portland maybe 4 years ago and I have to say I have regretted not going ever since. I remember it being a really big deal. At the time I had not been exposed to them. My life has changed dramatically since then.

If I remember the tickets were rather expensive the last time around. I think it will be worth it though.

The *lawn seats* in Auburn were $55. It was worth it.

OCF can seem shopping-centric at first. But only if you want it to be. There are concerts and spoken word and vaudeville everywhere. There's a drum circle.

There are several years I've gone with *nothing*, money-wise, and still had a blast. But having money for at least food is much nicer. Such good food. Everywhere.

Dang, I want one of those fruit pies from that booth near the entrance.
