There's a crossover between The Princess Bride and Lord of the Rings over here. I haven't seen (or read) The Princess Bride in a long-ass time, and it still gave me a case of the giggles.
Random quote:
ORC: I’ve just sucked one year of your life away. I might one day go as high as five, but I really don’t know what that would do to you. So, let’s just start with what we have. What did this do to you? Tell me. And remember, this is for posterity so be honest. How do you feel?
GOLLUM: Baggins! Shire!
ORC: Interesting.
EOWYN: Bye bye, boys!
MERRY: Have fun storming Minas Tirith!
EOWYN [to MERRY]: Think it will work?
MERRY [to EOWYN]: It would take a miracle!
So I'm lying in bed sniffling from allergies even though I took my allegra, and I was trying to remember the name of another allergy med I'd tried, that was actually meant for indoor allergies (like, say, Floof the cat). I can remember what it looks like, what the sample blister looks like, but I can't remember the name. I knew it started with a Z sound, though, and I kept trying to think of drugs that start with the Z sound. It turns out I know far too many drug names, because here's what I came up with:
Zomig: migraines
Zithromax: heartburn
Zyprexa: anti-psychotic
Zyban: a brand name for buproprion, which is also sold as Wellbutrin. Zyban is the name it's sold under when being used to help people quit smoking, and there's some irony in the fact that all the people I can think of on Wellbutrin (except for my mom) are smokers, whether infrequently or frequently.
But can I remember a stupid allergy drug's name? Psht. No.

Date: 2005-08-27 05:53 pm (UTC)I also woke up once to find Flood sniffing my head--her cold nose on my forehead woke me up. WTF?!? First time she's done that.
I've lived with cats my whole life--generally, they don't give me a problem unless, of course; they sleep on the bed. I've always left my bedroom door shut so kitties won't sleep in my bed when I'm not home. If the sheets and blanket/duvet cover are freshly washed, I don't have any problems at all. If it's been more than a handful of days since that was last done, I'm all sneezy. I try not to take Benadryl because I sleep too long or wake up groggy, but judging by how little sleep I got last night, I really should have taken it.
