Does anyone else around here like Franz Ferdinand!?!?! They're having a concert in Portland on September sixth at the Rose Garden, tickets on sale tomorrow. I wanna go!! Purty please? Anyone?
In other musical news, The Oregon Symphony is doing bits from The Lord of the Rings soundtracks, including the Pacific Youth Choir (part of the choir sang with Aurora in June). The ad in the A&E of the Oregonion specifies, "Costumes Welcome," which answers that question. *wicked grin*
OMG!! My hobbit costume (except for ears, I lost one, need to buy a new pair) are in boxes in the shop. Eeeeek! I'll need to buy fake fur....when Return of the King came out, I faked furry feet by putting fake fur on the tops of my birkenstocks, just enough to mostly cover the straps and top of my foot. That, and flesh-colored tights, because Damn! was it cold. So fake furry feet, and my big purple dress, and pointy ears, and my wig (it's supposed to resemble Farrah Fawcett, but it's brown and curly enough for me) and my blue scarf tied around my shoulders....worked last time, eh?

I'll be going to the Sunday showing, I need to call
medievallass and figure out what tickets we can afford.

Lord of the Rings Symphony!
Date: 2005-08-21 06:56 am (UTC)Oh I would love to go with you to see the Oregon Symphony play Lord of the Rings! That would be awesome! It is in September right? I check the A&E pretty often so I'm surpized I haven't seen the advertisment for it yet. As far as tickets go I have my babysitting funds and if it is in Semptember I can always save up. We'll have to talk about the details when we talk on the phone. But wow LOTR Symphony that is sweet action and in Portland. I'm so excited.
Also I bet your hobbit outfit is so cute. I loved the bodice skirt esemble the hobbit ladies wore, it just suited them so well! Feel free to give me a ring whenever you'd like. I would call you, but we just got new cell phones and I haven't manged to put anyone's number in there yet.
