I made the greatest food tonight. New Seasons has baby greens for braising--kale and swiss chard and all sorts of tasty things. I sauteed some shallots in canola oil (garlic would be a tad strong for baby greens) and then put some water in the cast-iron pan with the greens and then put the heavy lid on. Stirred it here and there, then put a drained can of seasoned tomatoes in there and served it over couscous with salt and pepper. Died and went to heaven, food-wise. Not to mention all the iron and calcium and all the other wonderful nutritious stuff. Yay!! Finished the meal off with a handful of Ginger'Os (like Newman'Os but ginger cookies).
Then came up here and started my lettuce in a cardboard tray. Had to be careful not to put too many seeds in there...I don't need thirty heads of lettuce maturing at the same time!!

Date: 2005-04-22 04:57 am (UTC)Yes, my health is so much better now thanks to my dietary changes, but its not easy to go all the way with this, and the head tilting, odd looks I get from my misinformed friends/family don't help either. ::sigh::
P.S. Is that a GIR wristband I detect? ^_^
