In other news: While Nana was watching the news last night, I was struck by a sudden urge. I called my mother and told her, for the love of gods, that if I wasn't really there, she could pull any feeding tube I might have. She said the same applied to her. She's going to write a living will or get an Advance Directive or something. I think I might get one too. Which would be sort of amusing, because most people with those in their charts are older and obviously halfway out the door.

My parents apparently have enough life insurance, that if they both died suddenly, there would be no debt left over--after selling the house, there'd be some money to split between my brothers and I.

If one good thing comes of that shit going on in Florida, it will be more people making their wishes clear to their loved ones.

Gawd. I'm so morbid. But, bleh, I'd rather have this stuff straightened out now. Shit happens.

Yah, it was posted in adults_add, which I knew it would be. My mom had cut it out and had to show me when I was over at their house a few days ago.

I just posted a few links to free living wills, power of attny's, etc. A will isn't just about money and division of property. It's a plan so that other people don't have to make decisions for you should the unexpected happen. So they don't have to worry about whether they did the right thing, when there is no right or wrong.

I think a lot of us have been thinking about those living wills. I'd rather have my tube pulled, too.
