Watching the third Harry Potter movie is what got me into HP slash. After watching ROTK I know I'm going to go on a binge of hobbit slash. You watch. And now I'm wishing I knew the names/authors of some of the stories I really really liked.

That scene where Gandalf rides off with Pippin after the scene with the Palantir, and he's yelling "Merry!"... oh gawd, that just breaks my heart. And the stuff with Merry and Pippin they added back to the EE....*waaaah!* *snif* I'm going to have to either rejoin the yahoogroups whetherorno, or peruse hobbitslash a bit.

EDIT: I remember that when I was a member of hobbitslash I actually eventually had to leave, because there were so many posts it was clogging my friends list!! Now? Their last post was in November. OMG, that's so sad..... I hate watching the fandom die off. Or not die off, so much as get left to the people who are truly obsessed, and therefore tend to be more nit-picky and infighting and/or so wrapped up in the fandom that they're not involved in anything else. Waaah, I'm all nostalgic for, oh, a year ago...

Finish breakfast
Grab all my stuff and go down the hill
Take shower/get dressed
Pack two days of work clothes and something to wear to bed and all that kinda stuff
Come back up here and wait for his damn friend to call so I can give directions to pick me up

Man, if he doesn't call by noon or so, I'm going to beg bus fare and take the damn max anyway. He can meet us there.

There are two problems with Bilbo slash: one, most of the characters that are well known, are a tad out of his age range--I mean, Frodo's the oldest of the hobbits in the fellowship, and when he's 33 Bilbo's 111. Secondly, not a lot of people find Bilbo attractive, and most people write slash about characters/actors they find attractive.

Don't get me wrong, Bilbo/whomever slash exists--but most of it is Ew.
