OMG OMG

Thom Yorke's side project Atoms for Peace (gah! auto-play!) which a bit of a superband, really, has an album out.

And of course I'm broke broke broke broke. I might ask Shawn if he's willing to buy it for me. Or maybe I'll see if the library has it yet, although I imagine the hold list is probably months-long. (They don't have it yet. Huh. That's unusual.)

(ETA: WOOHOOOOOO YESSSSSS I have it now. Thanks [livejournal.com profile] blackdwarv!)

Three of their songs are up on youtube and I'm in love with them.

Does anyone else have a mental list of musicians who can do no wrong? As in, you love pretty much everything they do, and when people say anything negative about them you get defensive? For me the list is: Thom Yorke (well, okay, I hated the very first Radiohead album, the one with Creep on it), Bjork, and Joanna Newsom.

HOLY SHIT EARGASM.

They're touring--for now just Europe. Oh god. I hope I have the money if/when they come to the west coast. Especially since I missed Radiohead coming to Seattle last year. And Atoms for Peace plays music off Thom Yorke's solo album, which I fucking love, at their live shows.

In other news: I should not have eaten a whole bowl of baby carrots. Dunno if it's that or stress, but it's making my TMJ disorder flare up. I can open and close my mouth fine (for now) but I'm having sharp pains in both sides of my jaw's joints (aka the TMJ joint) whenever my jaw moves. Time for some ibuprofen. Maybe a muscle relaxant when I go to bed. ARGH. My TMJ shit hasn't had a real flare-up in years, I do not want one now. They always freak me out, because TMJ disorder isn't something that gets better--you can only do your best to prevent it getting worse.
