May. 8th, 2009 05:15 amWTF? I go to bed at midnight. Don't fall asleep until one, which I mostly blame on my Pandora last evening being almost entirely dance music (Benny Benassi! Fischerspooner! Benny Benassi remixes of Fischerspooner! I'm not kidding!).
Woke up at three, after which sleep was useless. I tried listening to something more calm. I read the most recent issue of Momentum magazine front to back (and look, there's the comic Shawn G drew, and there's an ad he drew for a bike shop, and...). Including all the ads (maybe I'll get myself a shiny new Nutcase helmet--I really like this one). Gah. At one point I got up and cut the elastic out of my most commonly-worn petticoat, because it was getting to the point where it was just going to fall off me. I'm going to sew a new waistband by hand today and put elastic in it.
I'm not the only one awake--there's a bird announcing their presence outside.
What kept me awake, I'm sure, is a combination of things: I have to do some sewing and ironing for my outfit tonight. I'm going to help out with a bike move (something I haven't done before) and it starts at 5:30, should I just wear my whole outfit to the bike move, or will I have time to go home and change etc. before the karaoke thing tonight? Will I look totally asinine going to said event all loli-ed up? Oh, and I'd been taking Nyquil since I got my cold, until last night. So there's that.
In any case, jesus christ, I spent the last two months moaning and groaning to get out of bed this early. And now here I am: awake.
I hope I can manage a good nap later. >_
