Having a clean-ish room is the best thing ever. Tonight I think I'm going to start truly unpacking, starting with the most recent stuff. I've even been putting lots of things on my iTunes and then my iPod and that's all kinds of happy, too. I put, like, a dozen CDs on there yesterday. But I'll still probably listen to Justin Timberlake a few times today. Ha.

There were some interesting facts in the newspaper yesterday (I think the person who lived here before us prepaid for the paper--we've been getting it since we moved in a month ago!):

So the Oregon legislature made it an official law that breastfeeding women get a half hour break every four hours to pump breastmilk, and that's awesome. Something I didn't know, though, is that because breastmilk prevents so many illnesses, every dollar that an employer invests in making it easier for moms to breastfeed can save them up to three dollars in missed work. If a parent doesn't have to leave work to take care of ear infections and stomach bugs, everyone's happier.

Oregon has the worst grass pollen in the USA. We grow grass seed here! And as the article in the paper put it, the Willamette valley just funnels the stuff. Eugene and Corvallis are apparently the worst, with the highest-recorded amount of pollen particles per cubic foot, ever. Mine sure are acting up, and when I look at the dates of the worst grass pollen vs. when my allergies are usually the worst, I'm guessing that it's grass I'm allergic to.

Out at the Funny Farm (aka Tyson's place), the grass pollen is so bad sometimes that you can see clouds of it waft by.

But, yeah: I took an alavert this morning and used my nasonex and I've got it mostly under control this morning. I'm still sneezing and sniffling but not as bad as I was when I woke up!

Last Interesting Fact for the Day: A University of Iowa study using a driving simulator, found that someone who'd taken two benadryl was a worse driver than someone legally drunk.
