Information about "free-range" eggs.

OMG. So many things happened this weekend, that I'm afraid that I couldn't write a post long enough to do it justice. So I will attempt to keep it short-ish. )

I just finished watching Supersize Me with [livejournal.com profile] rikell42, [livejournal.com profile] common_as_stone, and [livejournal.com profile] jenhowell. I hadn't seen it yet. It didn't tell me anything I didn't already know, to be honest, but it was still worth seeing. Ugh. I don't know how his girlfriend dealt with that. I don't even like the smell of McDonald's food anymore, except for the fries. And I can get fries somewhere else.

Bert, our landlord, originally told us we had to be out on October 1st so he could remodel the house. He's changed his mind, and said we could stay until Spring sometime. So it looks like we'll be here a bit longer. I need to start moving more of my stuff in here, blargh. We have very little furniture in our room, because I didn't want to have to move my shit twice. Oh well. The rent here is super-cheap, which is helpful--I can save up more for the Iceland trip, things like that.

As far as I know, there are three places in Portland that offer a BSN (Bachelor's of Science in Nursing): OHSU, the University of Portland (which is Catholic), and Linfield.

All three have different requirements for transfer students. #$@&!!

So I pretty much have to decide ahead of time, which school I want to go to, and then take those classes.

Grrr.

I'm admittedly leaning towards OHSU. Mostly because they're not affiliated with a religion. And likely cheaper, but I didn't look at that yet. Also, and this is important, because they're the only ones that offer specifically psychiatric nursing. I'm not sure I want to specialize like that until after the BSN, but it's something to think about.

Anyway. Bedtime soon.

Something I forgot to mention earlier: there's a Lebanese restaurant, called Nicolas' I believe, on Grand near Burnside--a block or two from Noir. It's a less fancy environment than at Karam, but it's still super-good. It's noisier and a much more diverse crowd, it's almost as yummy, and it's far cheaper. Oh Yes. I think we'll be going there again soon. They have this garlicky chickpea dish that's just to die for...and their tahini sauce....mmm.
