Bit of text on the Draco and the Malfoys website:

Their website is over here. Some of the lyrics just crack me up. "you messed up in potions yesterday, but everyone still thinks you're great, except Snape...and me." There's a song called "My Dad is Rich" that has lines that go something like "my mother loves me and tucks me in at night...how's yours doing in that mirror of Erised?" Burn!

They're playing both of the Portland shows along with Harry and the Potters. Kick ass.

Work today: very very dull.

(no subject)

So this morning I just got poured on. I was so soaked on the walk from the max station to work, I used up sixteen paper towels just on my pants, which had dribbled into my shoes. It looked like I'd walked into a creek, or put my pants on right out of the washing machine and skipped the spin cycle. I had my raincoat on, so my torso was completely dry. Except for where I'd tried to put my hand up to hold my hood in place and it rained down my sleeve.

On the other hand, I was an idiot and held my discman in my hand the whole time. The display didn't work anyway, but now it's filled with water and the thing won't play. Waaaah!! *snif* I have no idea what I'm going to do. I seriously start to go bonkers without something to listen to, especially on the walk to and from work, or while drop-filing, the most boring job in the whole department. The worst is when I have no music, and a song gets stuck in my head, and it's a song I don't like.

rikell42 came over and we cut out all the fabric for his shirt. No way in hell it's going to be done by Pirate's Gathering, dammit. I need to call Tyson and ask if he has a spare shirt, at least. Oy.

There's only one real pair of halfway decent scissors around here, and he wanted to learn how to do it, so when my mom came home, I was sitting at the table, my feet propped up, paging through my parents' book on places to hike near Portland, and he was bent over the table cutting out fabric. She laughed.

I also....did a load of laundry! Yay! And J had brought over some veggies from his CSA membership so we made a huge salad and I made vegan ranch dressing and we woofed that down like you wouldn't believe. Mmmm....greens...

I keep having to remind myself, in all the stress and planning about Pirate's Gathering, that I get to see NIN this weekend as well. If the Gathering wasn't happening, that would be all I was thinking about!!

Since silverrose79 can't make the show (stupid fred meyer) I have an extra ticket to NIN. If anyone wants it, speak up. It'll be cheap and/or free...
