In case anybody's interested, a portion of the Aurora chorus will be singing at Portland International Women's Day at the Smith Ballroom at Portland State University. They're supposed to be on at 1:40pm.

I'm going to bust ass to get there on time. Heh.

And just so I don't forget, the quote of the night last night was: "funky, funky, funky." With all three "funky"s. Used by [livejournal.com profile] jenhowell to describe her planned outfit for her roller-skating party on Friday.

So, at work we have a place where we sort incoming papers. Some are dictation, some are phone calls, some are records from other places. I took a picture with my cell phone once:

Sucky picture (doesn't include the actual sorter), but hey.

We have a picture hanging up nearby, from Exploding Dog. Found it. It's over here. Woot.

Boy, this post is boring.

This upcoming week I'm doing a job I kinda suck at, and haven't done in months. It's the most complicated and involved job in the whole department, and I'm positive that I was only assigned it because, in theory, we're all supposed to take turns at every task, and it's been so long since I've done it that someone must have complained. Most people loathe this task. The one girl who liked it has left.

Oy vey.

Oh, and I have to be there at seven am. Oh, and my period is due to start this week, probably Wednesday. Blargh.

The International Women's Day thing was cool. It kicked ass to see my chorus sing. Gypsy Caravan was on next, and while they're good, they also reinforced why I like Circle Dance Network (where I was taking classes) much better.

Talked to Pat from Sisterspirit. The reason Heather Alexander isn't going to be at Paganfaire is sad. Heather would love to be there, but she has a new manager--who used to work for Sisterspirit, and apparently now holds a grudge against them. I don't know the details, Pat wouldn't share them. In any case her manager demanded more money to be at Paganfaire, without actually asking Heather about it. Gaaaah. Suckage. Mucho drama.

It's a live-action Simpsons intro!!

Obviously British, but who cares? OMG!! That kicks ass.

Heh, my family used to watch that show damn near religiously. It was one of the few things we all liked to watch. When it first came on, we were in Iceland, and my gramma sent us a tape of the first six episodes. We almost wore out the tape. Thankfully, the British channel we got (Sky One), started carrying it.
