Drinking actually makes it easier to wear heels. I didn't fall over or even stumble once, and my dancing wasn't much different than it usually is. I was just taller. I could get used to this.

I do have a blister on one of my big toes. But my feet didn't even really hurt when I left. A big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dragon_mintz and [livejournal.com profile] thorongil8 for the ride home.

I had a lot of fun last night. :^)

I drank water at the club. I drank water when I got home. I woke up once in the night, still thirsty. Just before eight, I woke up feeling like my body was a goddamn desert. I got up and drank so much water that I could hear it slosh around when I swallowed. Half an hour later, I still felt thirsty. WTF? It's not like I had nothing but coffee and shots last night or something. I had mixed drinks, which have more water in them, y'know? Although I've realized something--I swear in those cheap well drinks, they seriously put more alcohol in them than anything else. My sunrises had at least as much tequila as orange juice.

So, I need to get moving, I have to make frosting for brownies and take a shower and get my butt out of the house.

The potluck was fun. I have some brownies left over. Woohoo!

I'm at Backspace. They have Black Sheep Bakery items, which gives me the warm fuzzies. Black Sheep stuff is vegan. *munches on coffeecake* They also have Voodoo Donuts. Not vegan, but if those donuts are your thing, then hey. Also, Stumptown coffee. Backspace rocks. *lol* Even if this keyboard is old and kinda sucks.

There's an interesting mix of people at Backspace. Hipsters, total geeks (like, the stereotypical no-social-skills kind). To my left is an Asian guy in a suit with headphones on. To my right is a lady who is in her forties, I'd say; and wearing an old tshirt and jeans, and playing one of those yahoo games. They've had Modest Mouse on the whole time I've been here.

I thought I'd only be on for half an hour, hah. It'll be an hour soon. And then I'm going to run to Powell's and grab that book for [livejournal.com profile] classy_lit. And then go to [livejournal.com profile] ourglasslake and [livejournal.com profile] jameslentz's place. Yay!!

Oy! My latte is still too hot to drink. Dang.

Random stuff from last night that I remembered after I posted this morning:

My "How I about I eat you, fucker?" pin was found by an employee at the Fez. The bouncer guy looked at my pins and said he finds them on the floor all the time. I said I'd lost a vegetarian-themed one. He said "is it the one with the pissed-off cow calling you a fucker?" and I said that one was mine!! It's currently on his fridge, and he was going to give it to a vegetarian friend of his. I told him he still could, I could just get another, but he insisted he'd bring it next week. It wasn't until much later I remembered I'm not going to the Fez next week, that's [livejournal.com profile] jenhowell's skating birthday party.

There was a girl last night who reminded me of Luna Lovegood. I'm not sure how, other than because she had long blond hair and seemed to be alone. But she did. People kept grinning at my dancing and sorta dancing with me last night, sometimes friends, sometimes random people. It kicked ass, man.

One more thing from last night: [livejournal.com profile] dragon_mintz and [livejournal.com profile] alicia_stardust gave me BPAL imps. So now I have Grog and Jailbait. Couldn't wear anything today because of the potluck--some Aurora members are scent-sensitive. I shall try them soon, bwah ha ha.

There was lots of yummy food, did I mention that?

I *heart* Powells. In case you weren't aware.

I now know what King cake tastes like, and got to see [livejournal.com profile] sagcat play the homemade Apples to Apples game. We ended up adding a bunch of new cards. It was fun to come up with new nouns, because we've figured out that the more specific, the better. Also, [livejournal.com profile] ourglasslake is a kick-ass cook. I loved everything I ate.

And as usual, [livejournal.com profile] jenhowell and I ended up dancing to goofy music, and during the game I laughed so hard several times that I was out of breath and coughing.

Not completely sure about my plans tomorrow. I want to see some Aurorans sing at the International Woman's Day thing, and possibly stop at Uwajimaya's. We'll see.

Ooof, tired. Thanks again to [livejournal.com profile] rikell42 for the ride home.
