You're welcome!

Woo, need to stop posting images.
aprilstarchild: (cranky vegan asshole)
meme! )

And now, a funny video! Steven the Vegan!

Work today: Busy. I'm in the middle, answering phones and whatnot all week.

One of the MA's in family practice seems to have a tofu phobia, it's that bad. It always pisses me off when people are like, "OMG! TOFU! YUCK!!11!!!eleven!" Saying you hate tofu is like saying you hate flour. I mean, seriously. You can do eight bazillion things with tofu that don't taste like tofu! And tofu is really more of an ingredient, as opposed to something you eat by itself. I hardly ever just eat tofu! It's almost always in something.

I felt like showing that off, so I made brownies that have a box of silken tofu as one of the ingredients. Hah. I'm bringing them to work tomorrow. I'll show her. *lol*

Need to make some sort of frosting for it. Because I love chocolate. And tomorrow is a chocolate kind of day.

My last post has caused quite the discussion about tofu.

I've spent a bit putting mp3's on my dad's hard drive and then onto my player. It's only tedious because of the time spent renaming and numbering things. Gaaah.

Now I need to do my chorus rehearsal CDs. But nooo, I'm too busy listening to Electronaut.

The damn player works...sometimes. Randomly last weekend I left it plugged into my dad's computer and it seemed to charge fine. So, I'm confused. Maybe the charger (that plugs into the wall) is what's fubared? I have no idea.

When you put up amazon.com on my dad's computer, it now thinks he's into Sisters of Mercy, VNV Nation, Cruxshadows, and Depeche Mode. Hee hee hee...but it's so handy for finding out track orders.

One day soon I need to start going to random friends' houses and yoinking mp3's from their hard drives. Bwah ha ha.
aprilstarchild: (It's Halloween and I have a hat)
I put my chorus rehearsal CDs on my mp3 player. Finally.

Which mean ripping them, and then naming the tracks (something I had to do with my sheet music in front of me, randomly paging through the 23 songs, because I don't know all their titles yet), and then renaming them so I could put the correct numbers on them. Because, see, we get two CDs--one of just Joan (our director) singing our part, and another CD which has a bunch of our songs with all parts. Which means one of two things--Joan singing in three- or four-part harmony with herself, or a recording of a live choral performance of the song. Sometimes both for some songs. And some songs aren't on the "all parts" CD at all.

So, yeah: putting two CD's into one file, putting them in order, and naming them all so I know WTF I'm listening to (as in, this song, or this song with Joan doing four-part, or this song as a concert?).

*whew*

I'm going to eat some cereal because I have soymilk again, put a lid on the brownies I'm taking to work tomorrow, and then I'm going to take a shower and go to bed.

On a completely different note, the Oregon Symphony is doing Gershwin this weekend. I'd love to go to the Sunday performance and I'd be buying cheap seats. Would anyone like to accompany me??

OMG. I just love Rhapsody in Blue. Oh Yes.

*does the happy dance all over the room to Rhapsody in Blue*

There's a spot on the website where you click on the musical notes and you can hear sound samples. I can bet you money that you've heard that piece of music and will recognize it.

Oh man. I wish I had time to come up with a flapper outfit. Heh.

EDIT: I'd be getting the seats that are $23 before the service fee and close to $30 with it. I've been to the Schnitz several times (not including the once I was on stage, hee hee hee!). I do not want to sit under the balcony. The sound quality there just plain blows.

By someone named [livejournal.com profile] lucca1, and yanked off of [livejournal.com profile] tee_moss's most recent entry:

HAHAHAHAHA!! Hyper kermit!!!

Okay, shower and bed now. No, really.

Uh. When allergies attack. *achoo!!*
aprilstarchild: (Gir playing DDR)
After this I'm done for the night. I swear. Really.

Meme stolen from [livejournal.com profile] tee_moss: put your name into google, like so: "(your name here) unfortunately". Post the results. They're just too damn funny:

Unfortunately, April is about as well-equipped to make a roast dinner as the Pope is to run a night at The Ministry of Sound;

Unfortunately, April makes the less than wise decision of killing their father out of revenge, and May gets pinned with the blame.

Unfortunately April’s Rhyme seems to think that the Punk trend of spitting on the audience is a good idea.

Unfortunately, April also reminds of the Armenian Genocide in 1915, and the tragedy in the village of Maraga in Mountainous Karabagh.

Unfortunately, April Fools Day is considered something of a "High Holy Day" among haxorz and wannabees, along with Halloween and Friday the 13th.

Unfortunately, April lost everything including the place she lived in, and will be moving back to the States.

Unfortunately, April mine
Seems to have more clouds and showers.
