OMG. Duh. I need to suggest that my parents name the kitties, Fred and George. *giggle* Maybe if myself and [livejournal.com profile] ruby_wings call them that enough, it'll just stick.

Several years ago (like, four), I did an interview for Frodo Okulam (the director of Sisterspirit, she also teaches at PSU). She did her dissertation for San Fransisco Theological Seminary, on Sisterspirit and political activism. She's done with the first draft and is offering to send me the chapters in which she used the interview. Also, I can get the transcript of our interview. It was so long ago, I have to admit to being curious about what I said!

I dreamed about being at the ocean with Cherie. There was a thunderstorm and it was very pretty but I was worried about being hit by lightning. I'd had a different dream, earlier in the night, where I was outside in my parents' neighborhood during a thunderstorm, and again; I was worried about being hit by lightning. Mmm, I don't like having two dreams where I'm scared of the same thing. Kinda freaks me out, man.

*LOL*

So I got a CD of mp3's from [livejournal.com profile] alicia_stardust last week. I just now put it on my mp3 player. Holy moly. Apoptygma Berzerk (which I can finally pronounce correctly), Cruxshadows, Evil's Toy, Neuroticfish, The Sisters of Mercy, and VNV Nation. In some cases, more than one album.

I'm glad I've got 20 gigs of storage space on this thing. I still have 16.1 gigs free.

I also put the tracks in the correct order for my Gorillaz album. It was driving me nuts. Speaking of which, I'll need to do that to a bunch of these albums...Windows Media Player, or my mp3 player, insists on putting them in alphabetical order. Grrr.

I'm currently playing the game of, "Is there anything here I recognize?" *lol* Not that I won't listen to them all the way through, I will. But I like having some place to start from, mentally. If that makes sense.

Go go gadget amazon.com, so as to put songs in order. I'm such a weirdo. Well, not really. I know that musicians tend to put songs in a certain order for a certain reason, and I'm not gonna mess with that. Plus, I just like having my ear used to hearing songs in the "right" order.

Uh...are some of these albums missing songs? Amazon.com and the mp3 cd are disagreeing as to songs on a few albums. "Welcome to Earth" is missing one song and has a couple extras.

I keep this up, I'll recognize more songs at Noir than at the Fez.

Bwah ha ha, now I'm raiding my dad's mp3's. I may end up with more Fez-type music after all. Berlin's "The Metro," anyone?
aprilstarchild: (It's Halloween and I have a hat)
My dad has the top 100 Billboard hits spanning several decades. Over fifty of them got dropped into a section called Fez! on my mp3 player. Which previously only held, um, a Justin Timberlake song. He must be confused in there, surrounded by all that 80's music. ;^)

Woo! Flock of Seagulls!

EDIT: I need one'o'them things to plug my mp3 player into stereos with an input jack. I should find out how much they are. This thing has a USB port and a port labeled "I/O", I have no idea what that is. Hmm.

Because then I can torture all of you with my CD's and random playlists.

Neuroticfish did that dance version of "They're Coming To Take Me Away." Educational. That song always gives me the giggles. It's actually quite good for dancing to, and to shout along the chorus along with.

OMFG. Having far too much fun. *ahem*
