Aug. 27th, 2005 12:33 amWent to a movie with
dragon_mintz and
koschei23, we saw "The Brothers Grimm." Really nailed the feeling of old fashioned fairy tales on the head while being really funny in places.
Very gruesome in places. Not for the kiddies.
Century 16 has the newest DDR machine I've ever seen. It had Duran Duran's The Reflex on it. Unfortunately, the difficulty levels are "boringly easy" and "harder than I can do." Dammit.
Also, left my wallet on the DDR machine before the movie. Thankfully, it was still there when I realized this after we all ate dinner. Well, it was in the lost and found. With everything still in it. Sometimes human beings do the right thing.
But, yeah, the movie kicked ass. I could go on and on about European attitudes towards wilderness in folklore etc, or the actual Brothers Grimm stories (I have a paperback of all of them somewhere, quite a few of them are just plain vicious), but....meh.
Yesterday I went shopping with
dragon_mintz and was happy with my purchases. A bra, three pairs of undies (quandry: why is it a pair of underwear but only one bra?), and a pair of pants.
OMG. Found pants. That fit. And were on sale. Hot Topic had black dickies pants ten bucks off. Yay, work pants that fit and don't make me feel fugly!
Bought a funky-ass bra. Way comfy though. Go Victoria's Secret. Also, had help picking the undies. *evil giggle* Advantage to same-gender relationship--shopping for undergarments in the same store. Talk about buying something you know they'll like.
Mir music in downtown Hillsboro is having a grand re-opening. If I have time I'm going to go poke around.
Also, going dancing tomorrow night, woohoo!! I'm pretty sure what I'm going to wear, and
dragon_mintz has already decided her clothes etc., which is Yay.
Oh, and btw: I actually do know why it's a pair of panties and only one bra. So...there, or something.
