Apr. 3rd, 2005 05:48 pmI had fun Saturday. I didn't make it to the meetup at Veganopolis, darn. But it's monthly, so maybe next time.
5minutelimit and I hung out and chatted for a bit before leaving the house. We went to It's My Pleasure and had too much fun poking around. I bought two things: a necklace with plastic spirals in a rainbow, and a lesbian porn magazine called On Our Backs (omg that title always gives me the giggles). The necklace is awesome. I'm going to wear it everywhere, dammit. I want to see if anyone at work says anything. Bwah ha ha, I am evil. Have also found out that it attracts small children like the plague.
We then went to Value Village. The one on Sandy is so much nicer than the one in Tigard, if a little smaller, I think. In any case bought three nice shirts and some fabric (four yards of wool for $2.50, go me) and a sewing pattern. Almost bought a pair of skin-tight suedecloth brown pants, but the lacing in the front was done badly and looks very obscene. Mmmm....no.
We went to
sagcat and
ninja_pidgeon's house for a bit as well. Eventually
5minutelimit and I walked off and grabbed food for ourselves and a few others at the Paradox (yeay!). Boo seemed to find it fun to name the colors on my necklace over and over. He also pointed out my acne, and while I was trying to discourage that sort of thing, it was very hard not to laugh--it's not like he's trying to be mean. He probably thought they were freckles or something. Also came very close to grabbing my chest. He's not nicknamed Booblehead for nothing. Slept over a second night.
BTW, my cell phone is so stupid. I needed to get up at 8am to make the bus to get to church on time. So I set it, all happy because it adjusts for daylight savings on its own. However, it set my ALARM ahead an hour as well, and woke me up a nine. Despite the fact that when I went back and looked, the alarm was still clearly set for eight. WTF?? Good thing Doug was awake--even with the ride to the downtown max, I was slightly late for church. After which, I was holding someone's baby, and he grabbed my necklace (yay! bright colors!) and tried to get it to his mouth. I turned him around so he was facing out, and he still tried to twist back to grab it. *giggle*
I work 7 to 4 every day this week. So every morning I'm waking up at five am. Holy crap.
