So, yeah. Party. Worked my ass of cleaning the house in a frenzy in preperation, ran down and made signs that nobody really needed and took a hurried shower and left the house just in time to walk Deanna up the hill with my cake. My cake has a picture of hobbits on it! Or did, rather, as we've taken off the picture (it was paper) and eaten most of the cake.
At first it was just me and Deanna and Nicole for a while. Then my mother showed up, and then Rick. We sat around talking and laughing for a while, and then we started to eat, and then my Mom left and Devin picked up Elska and Patrick. Molly and Tyson showed up and I ate my cake and there was much noshing and rum and cokes, the only alcohol. The rum is dark and tastes much better with cherry coke then regular coke. Yeah.
Deanna got me cool pressies! Other than the awesome tasty cake. She also bought a pin and notebook that are from Happy Tree Friends. Ha. The pin says, "Lend a Helping....Limb" and the notebook has a picture of a bunny about to put a fork in a socket. Ha! I love Happy Tree Friends. It's so cute and evil.
Molly gave me a pair of homemade earrings with starfish charms on them. I love starfishies.
Rick got me the vinyl dress from Stargate. Hee. I think Elska looks better in it though. But I'm the one who gets to wear it. Where, I have no idea. I have a feeling it's going to be one of those things you wear for the express purpose of taking it off.
Not long after cake we set up DDR and we have been making lots of elephant type noises stomping around on the dang thing. 5th mix kicks ass. So does 4th mix. So does DDR Max 2. Got Deanna on it for a few songs, but she can't get over the whole "you DON'T have to keep returning your feet to the middle!" thing. I got so much better so fast after learning that, but she keeps saying it's easier for her the way she does it. Ha.
My mommy gave me money and between her and some other people there is now about seventy dollars in my harp money jar. Yeay!!!!! I'm so excited about that. That's almost a month's worth of lessons/rental. *Does the happy dance*
In any case, it's probably my turn again. There's no school on Tuesday, so we're thinking of making a daytime trip to the Avalon Wunderland, the one on SE 345h and Belmont. Anyone who wants to meet up with me and Rick, drop me a comment!!
Oh! And Rick has an LJ now:
feralpapertiger. I totally admit to not understanding a word of it. I'm sure all will be explained.
Off to stomp around now.
NOTE: ARGH. Sure I can do tags for hypertext links. Sure I can. Have fixed it.
