Well, next time the desire hits you, maybe send in an agent to the store and have them buy one of the things on your list that you miss the most. That way you don't get tempted by proximity to the other stuff and you have something you love without all the expense.
That's one of the hidden blessings about living here. Most things are cheap and most things that would be expensive I can't buy anyway (like Lush because I haven't seen a Lush store - though there probably is one somewhere - and clothes, because I don't fit any of them - although that would definitely be a problem for you over here!)
I won't be giving any Christmas presents for some time. I'll be swimming in debt for months at this point. Blech!
