aprilstarchild: (It's for lovers)

Strange but true: It really is kinda romantic to kiss someone goodbye at the train station, even though non-passengers aren't allowed on the platform any more. It helps that Union Station is almost entirely old marble. After I kissed him and he went onto the platform, I took my bike to the pedestrian path that goes over it, and managed to find Shawn wrestling with his bike box one last time. When he was done I yelled his name, and he looked around confused for a second before I said, "Look up!" He saw me and grinned. "Whatcha doin' up there?" "Lookin' at youuuuuu!" It was awesome.

Tonight I'm gonna let myself mope a bit. But just tonight.

Tomorrow is ArtCrank, the kick-off event for Oregon Manifest. All sorts of bicycle-themed posters will be on sale, all for $30 a pop. Yes, Shawn will have stuff there, although I'd probably go anyway.

This weekend is EarthenGrove's retreat. Which reminds me, I need to write a ritual. Next week at some point I'm camping with [livejournal.com profile] seams_unusual at the coast...

I'd love to set Wed thru Friday in cement, but I have a customer deadline on Sat the 10th. This wouldn't be a problem, except that she want to wait to do the final hem after she gets her crinoline/petticoat in the mail (1950's style dress)and if she got it in Wed or Thursday......
Well. I guess we could come back even earlier on Friday...
that might work.
Yeah. I think so.
thoughts?

My thoughts: Leave Wednesday after my appointment, come back first thing Friday morning.

Yeah?

Also, re: email convo: You should definitely bring your bike over! Do you have a bike rack for your car? Or were you going to try and fit it in the hatchback?

I see that someone doesn't remember the true magic of the hatchback! have faith my little fledgling! Do you remember I can fit *2* bikes and *2* humans in that car?
It is true!
What's up tuesday? might be a great day to do that...

Well, I was hoping to take the bikes to the campground with us, but that might be tricky. Tuesday would be fine! Just let me know what time.

the bikes are coming. Have faith. You sit shotgun, I drive. Tent and gear goes on floor below back seats. back seats squish down to make HUGE flat space (that Kara, myriad and I have actually slept in before!). In there goes the bikes (very carefully). They have to sorta criss-cross each other, which means that they will have to be untangled a little when we get *to* the coast. an old sheet helps a little bit.
yay!

I moved almost ALL of Molly's old apt in the hatchback. She hadn't yet broken down the bed or figured out what she was doing with the bookshelf, so there were a couple of things. The hatchback is like an opening to another dimension.
