So the Tour de Fat has all these goofy freak bikes you can ride in a fenced-off area. Some of them are super fun, like the one where the axle is off-center for both wheels, so the bike makes you go up and down in a weird rhythm when you ride.
I tried one that was a tricycle, looow to the ground, with two tiny wheels behind me, a seat made out of an old recliner, and the pedals in front of me and slightly above. I had to streeetch out my legs to reach the pedals. There's a bike like that at MCBF every year, and if you brake, it spins around in circles. I've never tried it but it looks fun.
The tricycle at Tour de Fat doesn't spin if you try to stop suddenly. Instead, it jerks to a stop, and your ass slides right off the seat and onto the ground. Guess how I know that? My tailbone is a tad sore and I have a very tiny scrape on my hand. Thank goodness I wasn't going fast. Or any higher off the ground.
Saw Nanda, ID'ed lots of people, drank beer, saw lots of friends, decided I still want to be a Sprockette, met up with Shawn, went to Hungry Tiger Too before coming home.
