It's always best to stick with the serious no matter what the job--but add a creative touch to be memorable. They don't have to want to guess whether you are intelligent or not. You could use the "ROCK" sentence as the first or last line of your cover letter, as long as the rest of the letter and resume were EXTREMELY articulate.
