I can't tell if I have a cold or not. I don't feel all that bad, but I went to bed at eight last night and slept almost straight through to my alarm. My throat hurts but my nose isn't stuffed up.

So right now I'm trying to figure out what else might make my throat hurt!! The only possibility I can think of, is that I'm doing something odd because of my biteguard being in my mouth.

I'd call in sick to be on the safe side, but I recently got in trouble for calling in sick too often. Ugh.

I don't think I have any lozenges. Dammit.

That actually sounds very similar to what I had. I had a sore throat and fatigue but not really any other cold symptoms. Of course, there's no way you could have gotten it from me.

*rolls eyes* all my manager cared about was that I'd been out more than anyone else that year. Never mind that I was almost never out at all the year before that...

I got in trouble for the same thing when I worked at Fred Meyer as a cashier. I was like, WTF? Do you guys think it's good customer service for me to be blowing my nose and then handling people's food? I did come in sick once...they just handed me a bottle of hand disinfectant. Ugh.
