Your nearsightedness isn't too bad, and your astigmatism is so mild I'll bet they don't even bother to correct it.

I don't remember what the tipping point is for them to correct astigimatism with glasses. But when they did....holy fucking moly. My eyes got worse really fast in high school, and I got new glasses every other year. My senior year was the first time I got my astigmatism corrected. For three days I walked around funny because it looked like everything was leaning towards me. The ground got further away and the ceiling got closer--I would look straight down on stairs and take them one foot at a time. Then one morning I put them on right when I woke up (I was in the habit of not putting on my glasses until just before I left for school), and I was fine.

My glasses are either on my head, next to my alarm clock, or by the sink when I take a shower. I can't read all that well without them...no one wants to sit six inches from their monitor, and even then it's blurry.
