when I went to pcc rock creek. I would go walking in the woods. When ever it rained for many days I would find these newts you speak of everywere. I also remeber all the mushrooms that could be found.
I would have to say going out there and finding newts and shaggy mains one day many years ago was the most content I had ever been. I felt so privaliged to be out there.
I think part of it was that I never saw anyone else out there so it was as if the newts needed company.
