Over here is an essay of sorts--well, more of a personal story--told by a woman who became a prostitute. She's freakily smart, and mad as hell. She makes a point I've heard before: whether you're doing retail or office work or sex work, you're trading the work of your body for money, so why is sex work seen so awfully?

She also talks about how sex workers are by and large women who just decided it was worth it just to have control over their own time and bodies.

I like that point, because that's always my least favorite part of working--having someone else decide when I have to work. It's not so bad with an office job where the hours are predictable, but at Freddy's I hated it.

Go. Read it. Please.

Happy birthday to meeeeee...
