For a while I wanted to get a gerbil and name it Pippin. Mostly because if I named it Merry everyone would think I'd named it Mary. :^P
One of these days I'll get a rat or gerbil or two. Probably gerbils. Rats are smart and get lonely when not handled often. Gerbils are good-natured and stupid. Also, native to the desert, so they pee less.
