of things I am thankful for!

I am thankful for:

Shawn...he loves me, he puts up with me, he gives me kisses, he does the dishes when I cook, he helps me find bikes for me to love, he plans cool trips for us to do on our bicycles, or fun places for us to take our bicycles. I could go on, but you get the idea.

My family and friends, who were so awesome after my accident (and other times), I'm still not sure there are words enough to thank them properly.

Tofurky, which helps me be nice and lazy on Thanksgiving.

The city of Portland. Just in general.

Glasses. Oh god. Am I thankful for glasses. Yeah, I wish I could wear contacts, or that I had the cash for surgery, but living without any vision correction for two weeks reminded me of how much easier my life is because of glasses.

Wellbutrin. Even if it made me queasy for a couple of weeks, and made it so I can't drink coffee.

Unemployment (as in the money I get from Unemployment), although apparently it's ending because they've ended the extensions. C'est la vie.

The Aurora Chorus. I love singing, especially when I get to do it with a bunch of really awesome women.

Ikea. Because you can get damn near everything there, and it's inexpensive, and it's right off the I-205 bike path, making it fairly painless to buy stuff, as long as you can tie it down to a bike trailer (the ironing board was pushing it, but I did manage to get it home).

The Oregon Coast, and riding my bicycle between Cape Lookout and Newport, which was two of the most fabulous days of cycling I've ever had (except for Lincoln City, the fuckers), beat out only barely by riding from Newport to Corvallis the next day.

REI, which really stands for Return Everything Indefinitely, which also sums up why I'm thankful for them. I'm never ever going to get an actual dividend because I return everything and then use the money to buy stuff from the Outlet. >_<

My wool tights and base layer hoodie. Being warm is awesome. Being able to wear the same items of clothing pretty much every day and not have them feel gross or smell is even awesome-er.

Vancouver, BC. It was fun and I'll definitely be back.

Bike touring! Oh man. This is officially the year I've become hooked on bike touring. Getting to do it so many times was just such a blessing.

I'm thankful that, if my mom had to get cancer, she got an easily-treated almost-always-survived kind.

And right this second, I'm thankful for Soynog with rum in it, which Shawn just gave me more of, and now I'm going to end this post.
