Thankfulness
Nov. 26th, 2009 09:11 amI didn't make this post last year--didn't have much internet access. But other than that it's been a yearly tradition.
I! Am thankful for:
Shawn! He's taken me bike camping half a dozen times--something I'd wanted to try for a while. We've taken the train to Seattle for my birthday. He's gone with me to
seams_unusual's wedding. He has put up with all the times I've been sad, or irritable, or whiny, or forgetful, or messy, or drunk, or broke. He helped me find my Miyata. He will show up at my house after work with vegan poutine and/or whiffie pies. He's been encouraging and snuggly and kissed me pretty much whenever I've asked, and plenty of times I didn't. I am incredibly grateful for Shawn.
Aaaaand I'm sure I've just embarrassed the heck out of him.
My parents! I get along with them. They are not assholes. They are always glad to hear my voice on the phone.
My brothers. I love talking to them over facebook or gchat.
All my friends. Good lord. There are so many of you. You are all such fabulously awesome people. I have been graced with finding myself among some of the most generous and fun people I've ever met.
My roommates! Holy moly. They've been extremely kind when money was short. They're awesome people to live with and good friends too.
My bicycles, of course.
Adderall and Wellbutrin.
Goofier stuff I am also thankful for:
Facebook, because it's a fun time-waster and because it means I know when all the parties are.
Free boxes, now if only I had the luck of finding shoes that Shawn does...
Sock Dreams, because now I have warm legs
Coffee and beer. Duh.
Sweetpea...I haven't been to brunch in a while but it makes me happy just to know they're there
Fun clothes
Books
Bike paths
Vegan skittles
Cheap pasta
Kale (okay, I gotta stop listing food...)
People's Co-op
Flickr
Knitting
Pedalpalooza
....okay, I've run out of stuff for now. And I gotta get going if I want to get my pie and still make the Appetite Enhancement Ride.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!
