People have requested, nay, demanded pictures! You didn't get any last night because I couldn't find both batteries for my camera and then Shawn G asked if I wanted to see a presentation by some people who'd visited China. It was neat. Also, he'd brought me a vegan chocolate cupcake from Saint Cupcake. It was incredibly delicious and came in the cutest pink box ever.

So by many things, I was distracted from photos. But I did manage some truly god-awful self-taken cell phone shots.

Before I cut my hair:

And this morning, but I'm not really awake and hadn't eaten breakfast yet:

I swear to god, it looks better in person. It is weird trying to get used to how different my face looks. I think I look even younger now! Yikes!

Also: When I wear my Gunne Sax dresses with my new haircut I look like a brunette Joanna Newsom. I should take a picture of myself with my harp and one of the dresses just to amuse myself.

I swear, when I get some batteries, y'all are gonna get better pictures.

And: The first Gunne Sax dress I had (from [livejournal.com profile] seams_unusual) was a size nine. I've figured out how to wear a seven: Don't wear a bra. I loosened up the front lacing enough to zip it up and then tightened it up, and because the dress is made out calico with princess seams, and the waistline is almost an empire, it's surprisingly supportive. And the peekaboo of cleavage is totally awesome. So I wore the size seven dress that I'm not selling last night, despite the rain. I had on my doofy rainpants underneath the dress and my rain jacket over it, and the cotton got pretty wet riding from the NW Hostel (at NW 18th and Glisan) to Shawn G's place on NE Glisan and 68th, but oh well!!

I have a "working interview" tomorrow at a family practice office doing medical records.

o_O

If they decide to keep me (it's "temp to perm") it'll be part time, 8am to 1pm. The location is two miles from Sunset Transit Center along Barnes Road, which has a bike lane. I made $12.36 at my last job, she quoted me "$12 to $13" over the phone.

I'm going to have to wake up really early. My last job spoiled me, getting to work at nine am when my commute was only twenty minutes long.

YESSS. I mean, I still have to go in there tomorrow and wow their socks off. But I know I can!

ETA: Once upon a time I had some coworkers (my doctor and a medrecs person) leave The Portland Clinic to work there. I hope they're still there!
