Karaoke recap
Sep. 27th, 2007 10:36 amFranz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out": Harder to sing than it would seem.
Human League's "Don't You Want Me": Fun, but that chorus/fadeout lasts forever.
The Beatles' "Paperback Writer": Difficult to sing when you can't hear the other vocals very well.
underthethrow rocked "Sleep to Dream."
crowgod was awesome as always, as was
jenhowell.
However, I agree with her that waking up with too little sleep sucks. We were out until one am and then my alarm went off at seven. Oof.
I have my first biology lab tonight!! Yesss.
I went to the Red and Black for their last day, and alas, they were out of tofu and tempeh. So no last Dragon Bowl for me. Or t.l.p. I think I might cry. They also had a really really loud punk band that I might have liked had they not been so loud. And it was so crowded that there was no place to sit, even outside, and half the people outside were smoking. Blargh. So my last experience there sucked, which makes me sad. :^(
In theory there's a Mystery Movie Ride tomorrow night, but the posts to the Shift list don't look optimistic. Carmen is still going Friday and Saturday, and now that I have my student ID it would be ten dollars if I got there early enough and it doesn't sell out. Saturday night, Alexander James (aka the artist formerly known as Heather Alexander) is playing at a place on Belmont. There's a movie playing for just this weekend at Hollywood Theatre that's about the music scene in Iceland (and the review didn't even mention Bjork, Sigur Ros, or Mum, but I still want to go). A movie called December Boys is starting this weekend and Daniel Radcliffe (aka Harry Potter) has sex, with a girl! *LOL*
So, yeah: I need to figure out what I'm doing this weekend. *rolls eyes*
