My actual bedroom is pretty much packed, most of the bathroom stuff is packed. The kitchen stuff can wait until tomorrow morning.

The bed is taken apart. The boxes etc. that were in my room are in the hallway upstairs for ease of removal.

Next up: pack up all the bathroom stuff except for what's needed for my shower etc. tonight. Go out to the garage and move boxes around and re-tape/put lids on anything I opened and riffled through for stuff in the last couple of months.

Anyway. Off to fetch, well, popsicles to be honest. *LOL* [livejournal.com profile] jenhowell and I have a terrible compulsion to eat popsicles. Possibly because it's damn hot.

Last night here, and it feels totally effin' weird. The fact that the mattress is on the floor, and Jarrod's old twin and box frame (from before he lived in Bert's house!) are in the room as well, makes it feel even stranger. Or the fact that the furniture in here is empty of my stuff...Jarrod's going to be left with his desk, one bookshelf, and his bed. Oh, and his huge TV (only used for DVDs and Playstation), I suppose.

When I got upstairs from my shower I caught myself about to throw my clothes into the section of the laundry bin that used to be mine. :^(

I don't know if I'm nervous or sad or hopeful or some combination of that and stressed out. [livejournal.com profile] jenhowell has been wonderful today about keeping me on task and talking whenever I needed it.

We all watched a documentary about the parrots who live on Telegraph Hill in San Fransisco, and the guy who used to feed them during the day, and named many of them and would nurse them back to health if they fell ill. It was a really awesome movie, I have to tell you. Those birds are neato. Yeah, there's part of me saying "but they're non-native birds! Ack!!" but they mostly get food from either people or various tropical plants in people's gardens and in the parks. They seem to be doing okay and not competing too much with the local birds.

They're really pretty, and it was interesting listening to the guy talk about how he noticed how each bird had an individual personality.

This neighborhood is noisy tonight--people outside, someone watching a movie or listening to music (it's hard to tell), random fireworks. It's also a windy night, so the trees are blowing around.

Time to try and sleep. Hahaha.
