It's official: I seriously need to keep some of those cup-o-noodles (the ones in the styrofoam) around for when I come home from dancing. It's all I want right now.

Instead, however, I'm making udon noodles and then I'm going to cover them in bragg's. Mmmm...salty.

Vampire Masquerade Ball was perfectly lovely. My hair and makeup turned out close to perfect, my dress was fantabulous and got compliments from other people, and I had an absolute blast.

There were pictures taken before we left and at the venue. I'm looking forward to seeing those. I think I managed, for once, not to smile, without making a goofy face. Not that smiling is bad, but it didn't fit the look I was going for, which was some kind of Clara Bow Meets The Undead kinda thing. With hair I copied from a Japanese magazine.

Oh, and I met [livejournal.com profile] blakthorne in person. Hee.

There was a buffet there. I ate a lot of olives. And a couple of pepperocini, one of which spat at me when I bit into it. Ew.

I like stompy music. Yes. And they played The Monster Mash. I'm so not kidding. Oooh, and Dead Stars.

Handkerchief hems are My Thing, yo.

drawing personality

What does your drawing say about YOU?

Your friends and associates should generally find you a dependable and trustworthy person.
You have a peaceful mind, viewing the world with calm and serenity. To you, life is not about struggle and strife but about existence and co-existence.
You like following the rules and being objective. You are precise and meticulous, and like to evaluate decisions before making them.
You have a sunny, cheerful disposition.

Mmmmm...NO. But then, I think that none of the questions they gave properly reflected what I had drawn. I really drew more...rolling hills, than mountains per se.

Jarrod and I ordered a new rat cage today. I'm so excited I could dance. It's coming from Pennsylvania though.

[livejournal.com profile] beautifulwolf, I got the undies the other day. Thank you!! Also, I did decide on a Martin's cage, mostly because of cost issues.

Woo! I've felt so guilty lately that my girls have had such a tiny living space. Soon they'll have quite the spacious digs, and the cage has room for all sorts of hammocks and toys and whatnot. I'm hoping to make many of them, and/or get them as cheaply as possible.

I did buy bits of apple branches the other day (although, DUH, Tyson's place has apple and pear trees, I'll try to get some cuttings the next time I'm there). I decided to hang them from one of the cage levels, as when they're just tossed in there, they end up getting peed on. But the babies loved them! When I first put the branch bits in, they all had to have one to themselves, and it was like, chew bite gnaw gnaw gnaw. Hee.

Cheap toy: Put a little sweetened cereal in a toilet paper tube. Bend down the ends. It took them a few days, but they did chew their way in for the yummies inside. I think I might do that again soon.
