Jan. 3rd, 2007 10:01 pmI know I should post about my new job (blargh, I forget how tiring work is, and how time-consuming), but no! Jarrod and I drove the humane society today, and found out that tomorrow, they will have fifteen rat babies ready for adoption! And it turns out they sell rat food (I'm planning on mixing some home-made stuff with a good vegetarian dog food eventually), and used cages, although
5minutelimit might have one she can give me.
*squee!*
Their small animals room had rabbits in it that are bigger than most cats, I swear to gods. HUGE BUNNIES.
So, yeah: Need to get a wire cage, clean it really good. Need to buy some carefresh, which is this stuff for the bottom of their cage that's made from recycled paper. Although, hm, some people use towels and give them a litter box...I'm sure I can get some old towels at Village Merchants down the street, or hit up a Goodwill. Food bowl, a water container. Eventually a fleece hammock, and some toys...
